Prior to joining Prowess as part of our Graduate Internship Program, Nosimo Kephu studied a National Diploma in Marketing and later obtained a BTech in Marketing Research from Cape Peninsula University of Technology. Her studies focused on marketing strategy, branding, and market research, equipping her with strong analytical and strategic skills to understand consumer behaviour, interpret market trends, and support data-driven business decisions.

Q: What does your role as a Marketing & Business Development Intern involve?
My role supports the Prowess brand and helps the business connect with current and potential clients. On a day-to-day basis, I help create marketing content, prepare presentations, conduct market research, and assist with a variety of client requests. I also support client engagement by driving our public profile and contributing to building a strong pipeline of future opportunities.
Q: How long have you been with the team, and what do you think drives the team’s success?
I’ve been with the team for a year and 5 months, and what really stands out is how closely everyone works together. Our success is driven by teamwork, solid research, and an open environment where every idea matters, and everyone is encouraged to contribute.
Q: Why is effective marketing and business development important in asset management?
Effective marketing and business development helps the company build trust, communicate value clearly, and strengthen client relationships. My role plays a critical role in positioning the brand, supporting growth, and ensuring our clients understand our strategy and long-term objectives.
